What should I do if there’s a transaction dispute?

If a customer believes there has been an issue with an ATM transaction—such as funds not dispensed or incorrect amounts, we recommend that they contact their card-issuing bank to initiate a dispute.

The bank will investigate the transaction through the appropriate interbank channels. As the ATM operator, Dash ATM is unable to directly process or refund disputed transactions, but we work with the relevant parties to support any formal investigation.

How do I reconcile or balance an ATM?

ATM reconciliation is an important part of operating an ATM. It involves comparing the actual cash held in the machine with recorded transactions to ensure all funds are accurately accounted for and settled.

If you operate your own ATM, reconciliation typically includes the following tasks:

  • Verifying the physical cash remaining in each cassette at the end of your cashing period or when re-cashing the ATM. The ATM will generate cassette close receipts to assist with this process.
  • Reviewing transaction reports from the processing system.
  • Matching withdrawals and deposits against your banking records.
  • Identifying and investigating any variances or discrepancies.

For operators who require additional support, we also offer optional reconciliation tools and services, including cash forecasting, variance reporting, and guided balancing assistance.
