No Windows upgrade cycle. Ever.
The Argo runs a locked-down embedded operating system built specifically for ATMs — not a desktop version of Windows. That matters for your total cost of ownership and your security.
No upgrade bills
There is no Windows upgrade cycle to plan or budget for. The platform is built to last.
Signed software only
The machine only runs digitally signed software, which helps it resist malware and jackpotting attacks.
Security patches included
Security patches arrive with regular software updates — no separate patching process for you to manage.
Built for ATMs
The operating system is purpose-built for payment terminals, not adapted from a general-purpose desktop OS.
Ownership options
Choose how you want to run your indoor ATM. Three models to suit different venues and budgets.
Buy or Lease
Purchase or lease the Argo outright. You control the ATM, set your own surcharge fees and keep the revenue. Tiered pricing available. Dash provides installation, support and ongoing servicing.
Partnership
Dash supplies and manages the ATM at your venue. Revenue is shared. No upfront hardware cost. Dash handles cash logistics, servicing and reconciliation — you provide the space and power point.
Community ATM
Dash provides the Argo and any profits are reinvested in the community. Suited to clubs, halls and small-town stores where cash access matters more than commercial returns.

Built for venues that want cash on-site
The Argo is an indoor ATM for businesses that need a reliable, simple cash point — managed your way.
Pubs & Clubs
Keep cash in the room. Customers avoid card fees at the bar.
Cafes
A compact indoor ATM that earns its footprint.
Convenience Stores
Drive foot traffic and give regulars a reason to return.
Retail
A freestanding ATM that works in any retail layout.
Hospitality
Manage cash flow and reduce card acceptance costs.
Eftpos card surcharge now banned
Since 1 October 2026, eftpos, Mastercard and Visa no longer let Australian businesses add a surcharge to debit, credit or prepaid card payments. The cost of accepting cards now sits with the business. Cash payments carry no card fees — for the customer or the business. An on-site ATM lets your customers choose cash. What the surcharge ban means for your venue.

Not quite the right fit?
The Argo is our indoor freestanding ATM. We also offer a through-the-wall and a deposit-taking option.
Argo FT — through-the-wall ATM
The Argo FT is built for external placements. Bill present and retract for security. Large 15-inch touchscreen. Contactless tap. Suited to high-volume retail sites and locations where a bank has removed its ATM.
See Argo FTDeposit ATM — for qualifying venues
If your venue handles high cash turnover and needs to deposit daily takings, our deposit-taking ATM lets customers withdraw and lets you deposit — from the one machine. Suited to petrol stations, pubs, clubs and shopping centres. Subject to approval.

Is the Argo a contactless ATM or does it need a card?
The Argo is a contactless (NFC) ATM: it supports tap and go transactions as well as standard card use. Customers can tap their card, phone or wearable to start a withdrawal, including with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Can I run the ATM myself, or does Dash have to manage it?
Both options are available. You can buy or lease the machine and manage it yourself through the Dash web portal. Alternatively, you can choose the partnership model where Dash handles cash logistics, servicing and reconciliation on your behalf. For community locations, the Community ATM model has Dash provide the Argo, with any profits reinvested locally.
What internet connection does the Argo need?
The Argo connects over any TCP/IP link: ADSL, NBN, 4G, Starlink or WiFi. If you are unsure what is available at your venue, we can advise during the enquiry process.
How many notes can the Argo hold?
The Argo is available with one to four cassettes, giving a note capacity of 1,000 to 8,000 notes depending on configuration. A single-cassette setup suits lower-traffic venues; multi-cassette suits busy pubs, clubs and convenience stores.
Does Dash handle installation and ongoing service?
Yes. Dash provides installation, cash logistics and forecasting, real-time fault alerts, transaction reconciliation, settlement reporting, national field service and parts repair. You manage day-to-day visibility through the portal at portal.dashatm.com.au.
Is there a Windows upgrade cycle to worry about?
No. The Argo runs a locked-down embedded operating system built for ATMs, not a desktop version of Windows. There is no Windows upgrade cycle to plan or pay for. The machine only runs digitally signed software, and security patches arrive with regular software updates.
